Aymeric Laporte admits relief at Erling Haaland transfer as Man City signing confirmed

Aymeric Laporte has joked that he’s glad he will not be going through Erling Haaland after Manchester City introduced a deal for the Borussia Dortmund striker.

City say they’ve agreed for the switch of Haaland to undergo on July 1, topic to the finalising of private phrases. Dortmund have confirmed the transfer from their finish, and it is believed the charge is simply £51million, decrease than his launch clause was initially regarded as.

Earlier on Tuesday, Pep Guardiola mentioned he could not speak about Haaland’s impending switch as City and Dortmund had informed him to not.

“Everybody knows the situation, I shouldn’t talk because I don’t like to talk about the future or next season,” he mentioned when requested. “Dortmund and Man City told me I’m not allowed to say anything until it’s completely done. We’ll have time to talk.

“I’d love to speak, they inform me do not say something till the authorized actions [are done]. We’ll have time to speak, not as a result of I do not need.”
