Buyers name Liverpool as the ‘most desirable’ place in North West to move to

Liverpool has been named as one of the most desirable places to move to in the North West.

Out of 44 locations across the UK, it has been place third behind Glasgow and Edinburgh, according to AddLiving ‘s new research.

It’s the only North West location to appear in the top five destinations, with London and Dundee being named as the fourth and fifth most popular areas.

Search data conducted by AddLiving discovered that there were more than 5,500 searches for ‘flats to rent Liverpool.’

This was considerably higher than other cities in the country, making it one of the most desirable locations.

The data also suggested that residents living in Brentford, Egham, Waltham Cross, Leicester, and Beaconsfield are most interested in moving.

Around 4.6% of people in Brentford have searched for ‘ flats to rent’ , meaning they’re looking at relocating either within the area or to another destination.

This drops to 1.2% in Egham, 1.14% in Waltham Cross, 1% in Leicester and 0.66% in Beaconsfield.

The residents most likely to stay put , with the lowest amount of searches for moving in the country area Chester, Durham, Bradford, Newport and Rotherham.

Only 0.01% of the population searched for alternative properties in Chester and Durham, with 0.02% looking in Bradford, Newport and Rotherham.

Olly Roberts, graduate surveyor from AddLiving, said: “The last two years have caused a lot of disruptions, especially within the renting and job markets.

“Many residents have found their lifestyles changing drastically, with many looking to move for a new job or for their mental health.

“Liverpool is the only location in the North West featured in the top five, and with 5,500 searches for flats to rent here, it is easy to see why.”
