‘Gorgeous’ sister with ‘heart of gold’ found dead at home

A heartbroken woman paid tribute to her older sister after she was found dead.

Leah Williams, 38, was found dead in her home on Brook Hey Drive, in Northwood, on Saturday, June 11. On social media, those close to Leah, from Kirkby, have described her as a ‘diamond’ and ‘angel.’

Now, her heartbroken younger sister, Natalie, has made a touching tribute to Leah.

She said: “My Leah, my sister. No words can explain the pain I feel. You are my sister and I need you back. Promise me you will look over me Leah. Gone too young, sleep tight gorgeous soul.

“Love your little sister, Natalie.”

Dozens of flowers, balloons and candles were left outside Leah’s home this week. Flowers left outside her house contain handwritten notes that read: “Goodnight, god bless, cuz. We will love and miss you forever, young angel.”

Another added: “We are so devastated, we all loved you. You were a lovely girl and so close to us all.”

Anne Gibbons said: “Rip Leah, you’re going to be missed lovely, thinking of your family.” Another commented: “Still can’t believe you’ve gone Leah. RIP beautiful.”

Friend Kerry Foulkes has paid tribute, she said: “I don’t know where to really start with this. I am heartbroken I just can’t believe you have gone Leah . My little mate what am I going to do? No more 100 calls a day from you driving me mad telling me all your crazy stories.

“What I’d do right now to see your name come up on my phone, so sad. It gives me peace to know you’re with your Nan now she will take care of you and you can look over your two babies. Until we met again you crazy little diamond you rest in peace you lovely little soul with a heart of gold.”

Earlier this week Merseyside police confirmed the death of Leah Williams was not being treated as suspicious. Police and paramedics rushed to the scene on Brook Hey Drive, at around 5.30pm, and an investigation was launched to establish what happened and how she died.

However officers have now confirmed her death is not believed to be suspicious. A spokesperson confirmed a file will be prepared for the coroner.

A close friend of Leah’s, Demi Fitz, has started a GoFundMe page to raise money and help with the cost of her funeral. To donate to the page, click here.
