Love Island viewers accuse Gemma Owen of getting Luca Bish’s name wrong ‘on purpose’

Love Island star Gemma Owen landed in some trouble after calling Luca by her ex-boyfriend’s name – but fans were convinced she did it on purpose.

Gemma’s ex-boyfriend Jacques O’Neill entered the villa a few days ago but assured everyone that he no longer had feelings for the 19-year-old.

While Jacques chose to couple up with Paige, Gemma has been enjoying her time getting to know Luca.

While messing about in the kitchen, Gemma went to tell Luca to stop, but accidentally uttered Jacques’ name.

Viewers immediately took to social media to accuse the dressage rider of doing it on purpose.

Many theorized that the reason behind it was because she wanted attention, with one saying: “I think Gemma did that on purpose. She wants the attention.”

“Gemma most definitely said Jacques on purpose… attention seeking,” another said.

While a third claimed: “As a former attention seeker I can say with 100% certainty Gemma said that on purpose.”

Others claimed that Gemma did it because Luca is “too touchy” with her.

“Gemma deffo did that on purpose HE’S ALWAYS TOO TOUCHY WITH HER AND YOU CAN TELL SHE’S UNCOMFY,” one exclaimed.

A second said: “Gemma defo did that on purpose to make jacques feel something for her and to make Luca not be extremely touchy with her.”
