Main road in Salford closed after car flips onto its roof


A main road has been shut this evening after a car overturned.

Leicester Road, Salford, has been closed at the junction with Gainsborough Street due to an ‘RTC’.

Pictures from the scene show a silver Volkswagen car flipped onto its roof with emergency services in attendance.

It is not known how the car ended up on its roof and if there are any injuries.

Greater Manchester Police have been approached for more information.

A TfGM Tweet said: “Leicester Road, Salford at the junction with Gainsborough Street.

“This is due to an RTC.
