Murder investigation launched after man’s body found in flat



A murder investigation is underway after the body of a man was found in a flat.

Emergency services were called to Feltwood Close in West Derby at around 5.30am on Sunday, December 19.

Merseyside Police confirmed they were called following reports that a man’s body had been found.

A police spokeswoman said a man in his 40s was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two men, aged 30 and 26, and a woman, aged 20, from Liverpool, have been arrested on suspicion of murder.

They were taken to a police station in Merseyside for questioning by detectives and remain in custody.

The scene on Feltwood Close is located just a few streets away from a separate and unrelated murder investigation which was launched on Princess Drive this morning.

A murder investigation was launched after a man was stabbed to death in the early hours of Sunday.

Merseyside Police said officers investigating the two incidents have confirmed they are not linked.

A police spokesperson said: “At around 5.30am this morning (Sunday 19 December) emergency services were called to a report of a man’s body found at a property in Liverpool.

“A man in his 40s had sadly been found dead at a house on Feltwood Close. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

“Two men aged 30 and 26 and a 20-year-old woman from Liverpool have been arrested on suspicion of murder.

“They have been taken to a police station on Merseyside for questioning by detectives and remain in custody.
